Brandon W. Barnett, a Reserve Marine Corps Judge Advocate and Military Judge, practices worldwide military defense and state criminal defense in Texas.  As a Marine judge advocate, Mr. Barnett served as a criminal trial lawyer in courts-martial and administrative hearings, handling a wide range of cases involving high level violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including sexual assault, larceny, fraud, drug possession and officer misconduct.

Mr. Barnett faithfully served his country and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served with the Third Marine Aircraft Wing as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate.  As Deputy SJA on board Al Asad Air Base, Mr. Barnett supervised all legal assistance and traveled to bases and outposts across the country to assist the Multi-National Force-Iraq with detention operations and law of war matters.

Following his tour in Iraq, Mr. Barnett served at the Pentagon with Headquarters Marine Corps – Judge Advocate Division.  There he handled officer promotion and misconduct matters and developed training programs to enhance the trial skills of Marine judge advocates.  He also served on the Joint Services Committee working group where he reviewed the laws and regulations for military courts-martial and recommended changes to Congress and the President.

Mr. Barnett is now exclusively focused on representing military service members in military cases worldwide and individuals accused of crimes in North Texas.  Mr. Barnett is available to represent service members at any base or station across the world.  Brandon Barnett does not practice law in Veterans Administration matters.
